Chile Off Track is a high quality boutique tour company based in Santiago de Chile. As we are experiencing strong growth in our international customer segment, we are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and multilingual team player to strengthen our team.

In alignment with our growth, you’ll initially start upcoming summer season in a part-time position, though depending on mutual experiences, we project full- time continuation after the season. You will work from our local office in Santiago and out in the field where you will accompany the tours.

• Administrative activities
• Relationship management (contact local & foreign travel agencies)
• Marketing and Merchandising activities (e.g. product & service development, website adjustments)
• Guiding tours


• Are you enthusiastic and a multi-tasker?
• Are you pro-active, a team player and do you possess good communication skills?
• Do you have your driver’s license?
• Do you speak English & Spanish fluently?
• Have you studied tourism or do you have related experience?
• Do you have a sportive nature and do you like to be outdoors?
• Do you possess your first aid diploma?
• Do you have computer & web design skills?
• Do you know your way around Santiago by car?

Horseback riding skills would be an advantage.

Office hours:
Monday-Friday: 09.30 to 14.00

Payment:
Fixed monthly salary plus a top-up per performed tour.

Average take for a guide down here is about US$100 a day, plus tips.

What seems curious about that advert is expecting a perfectly bilingual guide who is also a web developer. No doubt they will also expect him/her to wash the dishes and perform open-heart surgery.

They sell 54,000 a day winery tours, I can't believe that 5 people on a single day trip would cover a monthly salary, but it’s Chile, eh.

minimum pay in chile is 182.000 per month, must be weekly salary, right?

A big concern would be the multi-tasking part...what does it really mean in chilean terms? Kissing co-workers, answering personal calls and handling the keyboard all at the same time?

also, I'm not tsure if that's the case in all of the with-commission jobs either. But you're right, sounds more like 150k a week, and yes, with a very high skill set!

also, LOL at Gloria. I bet you have to hav ea cup of machine Nescafe in your hand at the same time!

dont knock the machine nescafe, i have developed this nasty habbit of buying it on my way to work each morning!
