So here's a warning for online shoppers new to Chile. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It doesn't work the same way in Chile as say the US where you order it and it magically appears at your door. In Chile, from my experience, it goes like this:

1) you order and pay for an item online
2) you wait for and must receive a phone call verifying you really did order the item online (otherwise it's cancelled)
3) you then receive an ETA that in actuality is a 24 window of delivery, before or after the stated ETA.
4) you wait for the delivery guys to call you, and again you must receive the call or the item is returned.
5) you receive, unpack, inspect, inspect, and inspect the item and perhaps even connect it and turn it on before signing for it.

Maybe this warrants a separate thread detailing the exact steps for online ordering. But to be sure, if you don't know spanish, IMHO you might as well not even try ordering anything online.

Or write it up for a wiki article so it is more easily located and used as a reference.

By the way, what are "CMR card" and "MAS" mentioned in a previous post in this thread?
"Blessed are they who have nothing to say and can not be persuaded to say it."
"Laziness is the mother of invention."
Caveat applicable to all I write: I might be wrong.

store credit cards.....

For the poor they give them away and make huge debt that they will never be able to pay back

for the rich or people with enough money and who are sensible with the use, if you pay them off at the end of each month you can get HUGE discounts on big ticket items......, 50% on washing machines for example.....
Plan N....... Back On track
