After a while he reminded me of some of my former students who regularly used the r-word as some sort of syntactic crutch when no polysyllabic diatribe came easily to mind.

I expect that John will fill the void nicely. In addition to having a fine sense of humour he's actually fairly polite and erudite, for an Irishman.

Strictly speaking no, but if you step out of line under anyone of your accounts, and tick me off, I will track down all of your accounts and delete them.

Let me put it this way, if one your alter egos piss off one of my alter egos, there will not be much of your alter egos left on this forum.

Here is some other food for thought. In very extreme cases we have legally gone after "alter egos" in the real world, under both Chile and the united states laws, including criminal investigations that really went over the line on the forum.

People forget, the internet IS the real world too.

So make sure all your split personalities are behaving as good forum citizens.

I think you are selling PdC way too short ... I will miss his many contributions to the forum and his astute observations. As for me filling the void, that's a non-starter as I have no insight to Chilean customs and traditions.

I did get a chuckle from your 'tongue-in-cheek' compliment as I've spent a lifetime trying to live up to my exalted Irishness.

So what am I to learn from all of this? That there are really about 3 people posting under 100 different identities?
