AND.....

Dr. $$$$$$ book, Life $$ Chile: A Former A$$$$$’s Guide for N&&&&&&&s, is the most comprehensive treatise on Chilean life ever written, designed to help newcomers get settled in Chile. He covers almost ever topic imaginable for immigrants. This knowledge is applied in his valet consulting service, where he guides expatriates through the process of finding a place to live and settle in Chile, helping them glide over the speed bumps that they would otherwise face in getting their visas, setting up businesses, buying real estate, investing in Chilean stocks or gold coins, etc. $%&/() offers a 30-day money back guarantee ...............

perhaps that guy in the other thread that was complaining how hard chile was should get this!!!!!!!!

pd. anyone reading this, there is absolutely no endorsement of the above book, i recommend against it, and only use www.allchile.net as your relocating specialists i just find it funny!

Finally, curiously, 39% of Chile people over the age of 15 are single. This figure is equaled in South Korea, but both countries have a much higher figure than most other countries like Mexico (33%), Spain (30%), New Zealand (30%), Slovakia (30%), France (29%) or Brazil (30%). The OECD country average is 26%.

Chile also has a relatively low percentage of married people (also 39%), and a relatively high percentage of people who live together, are widowed, separated or divorced (22%).

Thus, for those seeking to be married, Chile could be fertile ground for finding a mate given that such a high percentage of people are not married.

and if all else fails, you can buy a bride here!!!

In the Age of Turmoil, places like Chile make great sense as a place to plant sustainable (or resilient) communities, or to have a second home which serves as an escape hatch from ever-imposing First World economic misery.

hey, i do agree with the closing comments, but not for the reasons they mention!

I bought the "Dr's" ebook before finding this forum only to find out that he didn't even write anything about how to get temporary or permanent residency! When I sent him an email asking him to "clarify" or otherwise justify the money I spent, this was the first part of his reply after the salutation:

>> Generally speaking I do not answer specific questions (including doing
>> research) without having a consulting arrangement and getting my initial
>> consultation fee of $495. So beyond the following information, I will
have
>> to ask that we establish a formal agreement if you choose to continue on.

>> The contract visa is limited since you have to have two years with the
same
>> employer to be able to qualify for permanent residency. I have never had
>> anyone try to come in under the professional visa, mainly because it is
>> harder to fulfill the requirements, and on the investor visa my
>> understanding is that you need to give them a business plan and sell them
on
>> the idea.

I've gotten much more information for free from the members and owner of this forum than from the 500 page book he wrote (most of which I already knew since I lived in Chile before. What a joke!

BTW, it was granted, no questions asked, but I did let them know how greedy and money hungry I thought their "correspondent" was. Then again, probably par for the course.

Most people who shell it out are too embossed to ask for the money back, or else they are just not that smart.
