We have rented an Xtrail for the last 3 years, expensive but worth it for us, although a regular car will do OK with all the improvements as long as you don't speed. My husbAnd drives too fast, and isn't about too change and we do go exploting on a daily basis. We have several friends and family visiting this year and they are doing just fine with sedans.

We see signs all around the area saying "no a la hidroelectrica" but have not not asked any one reliable what it is all about.Sigh, tomorrow is our last full day at the lake, we just came in from the porch as it was finally getting a little cool. The Volcano is a little noisy tonight, but no fireworks just a lot of soft belching in the background.Weather has been grand, especially today, cool and overcast this AM and hot and clear this PM.

yea, we finally had a break in the clouds today (really nice day in Frutillar), and we could see a moderate amount of plume. Say about 1/3 the height of the initial large mushroom cloud. Seems to be fairly well behaved as of late.
