As we all know, it's in the mind [and school] of the beholder, since there are evidently the following minds and schools:
One says 7 continents: North America, South America, Antarctica, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia
(What they taught in Canada).
One says 6 continents: North America, South America, Antarctica, Africa, Eurasia, Australia
Another says 6 continents differently: America, Antarctica, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia
Another says 5 continents: America, Antarctica, Africa, Eurasia, Australia
While still another evidently insists on just 4: America, Antarctica, Afro-Eurasia, Australia
....And then, well, there is Chile, which in primary education seems to say this:
La Tierra tiene seis continentes: América, África, Europa, Asia, Oceanía y Antártica.
Curiously, Chilean educational materials teach that the "American continent" was the last to be discovered, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs begs to differ with the ministry of education, and insists that the continent of Antarctica was the last continent to be discovered.
