Actually the way it works is the caretaker puts an empty box of wine upsidedown on the fence post next to the gate. All the other little weones in the area then know to leave the place alone. I have far more faith in my campo security guard and his posse of sheep than ADT. Those weones are worthless in downtown Santiago.

One of the other neighbours mentioned they were able to get homeowner's insurance through Janice in the area.

Again, it is frigen abandoned cabin. There is nothing to insure because there is nothing to steel. I am actually more worried that someone will help themselves to my trees than the cabin.

I occasionally have to steel myself against similar eventualities, as do others who gird their properties in various forms of protection.
