What sites do you read for economics, finance and investing?

Postby no country for young men » Thu Apr 21, 2011 12:27 am

Wondering what sites allchile.net people read on economics, finance, investing and such.

How about sites covering Latin America and Chile in particular?

Here's a few I read regularly:

http://www.zerohedge.com/
http://theinternationalforecaster.com/ (Bob Chapman)
http://www.goldenjackass.com/ (Jim Willie)
http://lewrockwell.com/
http://garynorth.com/
http://thedailybell.com/

and my wife's blog covers such topics though now sidetracked on Fukushima right now.

www.financialsense.com especially the podcasts
www.jsmineset.com
www.safehaven.com
www.321gold.com
www.kitco.com jim willie here as well

also look up national inflation association.

A lot of these sites follow the Austrian school of economics, not the Kenysian model.

If you can find some of Martin Armstrongs work, (mentioned on jsmineset, it is quite good. Walter John Williams Shadowstats.com presents a more accurate indicator of inflation.

CNBC and Fox Business present what the power that be would like you to believe. Danger, Danger! Will Robinson.!

Wall Street Journal
National Review
Small, local papers in Worthington, Ohio
AP Links from Yahoo! for MSM
When I can stand it, New York Times, occasional lefty mag (New Republic, Salon, etc) to see what they are up to
Read lots of books on economics, history, politics, business, at least one a week, 1/4 is "opposition research" + 2 other books per week. Constantly reading about all sorts of things.
Lots of links from friends, or picked up on web (including here)
John Mauldin economic newsletter
S&A Digest (Porter Stansberry)
Economist once in awhile
Der Spiegel, Die Zeit and El Mercurio once in awhile
I watch very little TV, mostly periodic DVD, no cable in the house, as it drains IQ

John Hyre,

You should be aware that you may soon become an endangered species i.e., an intelligent, informed, and curious Republican. However, it's not too late to join the "enlightened" side. :P

It's fortunate that there are some still around who have far too much dignity, productivity, reason, diligence, experience, and intelligence to wear their baseball caps backwards.

Local economy and news, CNN Chile
International news, BBC, CNN

In the mornings I try to watch Mosciatti if I have the time. Good reporter even though I dont always agree with what he says. His big minus is that he wants to look like Larry King
