Re: Photographic Evidence of Chile's RAMPANT STUPIDITY

I am downgrading Chile from "quirky" to "way past stupid". Here´s a picture of the entrance to the little town I live in. The sign was put up three days ago, with information about the ongoing government reconstruction project. Informative, eh? Does you notice anything odd about the the place they erected the sign...I dunno...like the fact that there´s a GIANT TREE in front of the sign, perhaps???!!! This is from the government agancy in charge of the flagship rebuilding project following the earthquake and tsunami. These folks waste tax money at least as well as in the US. Still not a single house rebuilt in Dichato, but boy can they build signs.

Según el medio ciudadano del Maule Vigilante Costero, funcionarios municipales se declararon sorprendidos por el colapso del puente,

¿Sorprendidos? Yo no.

quality sign, very strong, held up perfectly well... now what happened to the bridge? looks like the invested more money in the sign than the bridge!
