I have flown so much with Qantas. It really does vary a lot. It depends on who you get, there experience, there mood, your smile. Its funny when I get someone telling me I have to pay for the 4kg and its out of their hands. Really? What about the last 4 flights... why was it 'in' their hands?

I am basically expecting to pay $10/kg in excess baggage. Qantas has also brought in an online excess baggage purchase. I believe it lowers the cost to $7 or $5/kg but that might not count for international flights.
