Been looking in USA for a linoleum-like material that apparently is water proof and is frequently used for bathtub surrounds and shower walls in Chile. I saw it in hardware stores in Chile and it comes in rolls that are only a foot or 2 wide. What is it called in Chile ? Can it be purchased in the USA or ordered from Chile? Thx, Gennyrener

this is a first, someone wanting a building product that is only available in chile, and not the usa,

I know what your talking about, but we stoped using that in the 80s in New Zealand........ (hense why its still used in chile its old way of doing things)

also, never saw it on walls, it was used on floors! (guess it still is every now and then for a lower end house, most use tiles back home now)

it was popular a few decades back in aus, i think some sort of fibreglass/pvc covered panelling, which seems to have had a rebirth in a somewhat more attractive form than that which was installed to every bathroom in every mining town as they were building 100 houses a year.
