Shipping to Chile for tires would be prohibitive for tires or rims. I think OP is looking for brick and mortar recommendation.

Yes looking for more like a shop which sells rim and tires in chile so i could actually see the designs and which type of tires would be good.

Are there like main shops that people usually go to when they want to purchase car accessories.

There is another which might be tad cheaper called Del Pacifico. They have 2 locations to serve you. 1 at movecenter near mall plaza norte and another on 10 de Julio & San Diego. If you take a stroll down 10 de Julio you will find it(along with its side streets) are riddled with auto shops ranging from tires & rims to stereos/alarms to spare parts.

I see original post and poster has vanished. Oh, well. Thread still exists...

Retail price for Toyota pickup wheel: ~US$700
Price for same used wheel at desarmaduría ~US$50

One of many ==> http://www.desarmaduriasanpablo.cl/

That's a useful link, PX. Since we're collecting info. here anyway... I changed my pickup tyres for new Kumhos at Salfa a couple of years ago. Took them a while to get them in, otherwise no fuss. The set of 4 was fairly expensive at 300 lucas but I believe they're considerably more now with higher oil prices.

The raw material cost for tyres as a percentage of product cost is not great but the manufacturers will tell you it is the reason for price increases... not. Something like US$2 worth of raw material in that US$100 tyre.

Anybody who has access to Zona Franca or happens to be visiting a region with a ZF might have a look at what tyres can be had there. Down here in Punta Arenas we have Falkland Islanders who come to the Zona Franca to buy tyres since everything imported to the islands is incredibly expensive, more so than in Chile. Also some ZF distributors carry Goodyear and brands other than Kumho.
