Power of Attorney

Postby Luis Pizarro » Wed Jan 19, 2011 12:51 pm

About 4 years ago I sent a full Power of Attorney to a friend of mine in Chile. I am planning to sell some land in the IV Region. Do I have to send another one?. Is it true that they automatically expire after one year?. I also understand that Notary Publics will not accept PA's if they are over a year old. Is this correct?.Saludos.

most of the time yes, but also depends on how the power of attorney was drafted and for what. Very specific to the situation.

Gracias...I could not find my copy of the PA. I think it was some kind of standard "full" form.
