There's a Chilean movie I'd like to recommend anyone who likes movies AND wants to practice their Spanish. It's called "Tercer Mundo", and it's going to be playing at the Cineteca Chile all through January. It's a really unusual movie, because it combines drama, comedy and some science fiction. The movie's about three kids living in Bolivia, Chile and Costa Rica, so it takes you around these three countries (you'll hear the characters speak in each of their original accents). The movie screened in several film festivals in the US and it won Best Central American Feature Film Prize in Guatemala. You can watch it as of this Monday 3rd, at the Cineteca (Palacio de la Moneda, downtown Santiago, metro La Moneda). Here's a link w/ info about the film & schedule (click "cines y funciones") :
