Heck, if all you need is a new calendar for 2012, maybe I could help, and you wouldn't have to get one of those crummy Mayan calendars.

The Patagoniax 2012 calendar features beautiful fotos of unreachable austral locations, magnificent lenticular cloud formations, and large fish the likes of which you have no hope of ever catching, as well as estimates for major riot dates in Santiago and Concepción. Don't be caught dead, or unconscious, without a new Patagoniax 2010 calendar. You can even pay for your new calendars via Servipag. Not available in Quebec. Some restrictions apply. Void where prohibited.

Px,
You do mean Patagoniax 2012 calendar? Would love to have one particularly for the major riot date estimates.

Yes, I see the date error and changed it in the original. The actual Patagoniax 2012 calendars will have no such errors, being inherently infallible. Some of the riot dates are fairly well fixed. Others are simply moveable feasts.

Speaking of riot dates: I see from the 2010 Patagoniax calendar that the riots of September 11 this year are going to be simply spectacular and may come just short of a need for calling in the Armed Forces for backup. If you can only attend one riot this season, make sure it's September 11, 2010 in Santiago. Limited seating.

Will everyone please stop obcessing about our calendar ending in 2012. We were dealing with a bunch of dirtbag Spaniards back then and couldn't spare the time to finish it!

Sincerly: the Mayans

Fat, arthritic fingers. Should be Sep 11, 2011 -- but you knew that. Do you plan to attend?

Alas, no, I'll still be in California monitoring Homeland Security's finest. :(

that's not the end of the world, no one can say when it will be the end, as long as we have faith, there's no end of the world.

Sounds as though allchile.net's prevailing eschatological position is being challenged, a view which posits that substantial physical phenomena can occur independently of the comparatively weak electrochemical neurological processes attributed to infinitely variable manifestations of faith.

Here's one for you, Erika, and it's easier than the trifles of ending the world: when did the Age of Reason draw to a close, and why? This will be good for 20 points. And welcome to the forum.

Not answering for Erika, nor to be contentious, but merely to clarify - doesn't the question presuppose a premise of a deistic creed?
Ugh... it's very late, and it's been a long time since apologetics study.
