I too am interested in price, small group lessons, location, etc. I live in the Lo Barnechea area and would prefer something close to home.

Me too Isabel. :D

I have no Spanish to speak of and would like in home lessons if possible. My husband intends to do a 1 week intensive course but will also need lessons in home (separately from me I think). We are in Las Condes at the moment but will be moving shortly, either to La Dehesa or to another place in Las Condes.

There is no TV in Chile? That’s the best way to learn not only 90% of the language, but also to assimilate the culture. Read some grammar books, though, and as for the rest, you can just go, ¿Qué quiere decir eso?

Then I should say, "No PBS in Chile?" Unfortunately, nothing beats TV for learning a new language, particularly for adults.

why don't you just go talk to your neighbors or the people in the corner stores or old ladies on park benches? that is the best (and free) way to learn. conversation. chileans are generally patient and love to help you learn their language when you show you are interested. i just don't get why you would pay to learn a language when you are surrounded with it for free.
