Overdue for an Introduction

Postby Ripsigg » Sun Sep 12, 2010 7:19 am

This is like my second introduction, but that probably doesn't count anymore. I first introduced myself back on October 7th, 2006. I was using a different account back then. Of course I have forgotten the password and the email I used to access it so I just decided to open a new account. It was much easier that way.

My wife and I are public school teachers on a 45 sq mile slice of America in the middle of the Pacific. We taught in Thailand for many years and we know GandJ from that time. We have two boys, 6 and 8. My boys are both US citizens but my wife is a Philippine citizen. We came here to this US territory in 2009 and while it's very much ok, there is a creeping BS that just reminds me too much of the BS back in the US that I left in 1997. At the end of 2009, the Feds did a takeover of immigration and that takeover is spreading to everything. The idea of staying forever on this little rock is not something I want to consider and the small taste of US BS makes going to the mainland something I dread like getting small pox.

Anyways, I work online and the income from online consulting work is enough to cover our necessities anywhere we choose to live in the southern cone.

We are on the homestretch on making our way to either Chile, Argentina, or Uruguay. I want to find us a simple place where we can have a small piece of property in a place with 4 seasons and the kids can grow. I also want it to be in a place where I can focus on a couple of projects that I have in the planning stage.

Well, let g~j then offer your first welcome...
It's been a long time since our NakonSiThammarat daze...
And we still really miss that tasty~spicy Thai cooking.

Keep focused on the light at the end of your tunnel...
[Pssstt, BTW... that "light" in the NorAm tunnel is the freak'n train...]
The "light" at the end of your SoAm tunnel should prove a bit more benign~welcoming

Keep your concept evolving and your planning proactive...
Until such time... buena suerte :alien:

A great big second welcome. Me thinks we know you already through your many past posts. :)

With that Rune dude, be careful as you are already well aware of

Yes, we do indeed know each other through the forum posts. You and many others here are free thinkers. There are precious few left in this world.

What would the forum be without Rune?

Yeah, I see that it is a huge train coming right at me. Remember how we used to complain about the stupid little meetings and paperwork that they would have us do in NST? Haha that is nothing compared to how they are doing it at federally funded public schools now. Nobody wants to buck it at all. If they are going to manage health care the same way they are managing health care then expect that we will all die from simple, easily cured diseases.

I look forward to seeing the south american tunnel a little more clearer in the coming weeks.
