Cristal

Cristal -- not a beer!..
There in China -- "one point nine"
I paid per bottle..

( i.e. 1.90 RMB= )

1 Chinese yuan = 0.147649 U.S. dollars

Rates provided for information only.

Ah yes, Rune... such memories...
Under 2 quai for a nice 650ml brew was a VERY good price.

Just as the Economist does their MacIndex...
With PPP compared to the price of a Big Mac +o(
g~j have their Pijiu index...
Which compares the PPP of different countries to the price of a bottle of beer.
You know.... China always comes out on top :D
Good beer = BEST price...
Definitely their currency is undervalued :P

But again... the Inscrutable Orientals will not bring pijiu...
They will bring (duty free) baijiu :D
We must make friends with them, so they will share...
GANBEI!
(btw... that is Salud! - for allchileans) :alien:

Ah, my dear g~j.. Actually, under 2 quai, for a nice 650ml brew.. it was only once for this poster, (in Kunming, Yunnan, it was). In many other regions -- slightly more than 2 quai.. and sometimes even close to 3!..

Anyways, China is one of those countries that could be called.. "beer paradise"!.. Wide variety of local brands, in each region..

Nǐ hǎo Zhōngguó rén!

Indeed, you are correct...
Only once did we find under 2 quai... on (the island) Taohua Dao
2.5 - 3 quai was more standard - this, for their standard 650 ml. bottles
For allchileans to compare - 3 quai (RMB) was about $0.40 = 200 pesos :D
YES... beer paradise.
g~j were quite amazed on a visit to Qingdao (Tsingtao)
There, the Germans set up a beer industry in the late 19th century..
This still exists in the whirld-wide market, to this day - everywhere, Tsingtao!
On the streets of Qingdao, you will find green kegs of Tsingtao beer...
A spring balance... and plastic bags.
You buy beer by weight - ban jin, yi jin, gong jin... about 1/2 lb, 1lb, 2lb...
The beer is tapped into the bag and weighed.
You walk down the street with your plastic bag of beer, to your hotel...
Where there are hooks on the wall to hold your beer bag - and you pour into a glass.
GANBEI...
VERY CIVILIZED, those inscrutable orientals
Chileans can learn from them.
The only unfortunate part - they had very few dark beer. :(

If the Mandarin Masses venture to these shores...
They will find our local brews acceptable - in price and quality.
Aside... although their (grape) wine was somewhat dismal...
Of late, they have started to make some gains.
They can grow good grapes in some regions - but lacked the experience.
Now, assisted by imported talent (vinters) from EuroLand... things are improving.

But, when we meet these fine folks in Chile - we must introduce them to pisco - OK :?:

Ceci n'est pas une pipe.

See, you don't need to speak Chinese to not make any sense. And I mean that in six dimensions.

g~j know these 6 dimensions... :)
Screw theory
In screw theory angular and linear velocity are combined into one six dimensional object, called a twist.
A similar object called a wrench combines forces and torques in six dimensions.
These can be treated as six dimensional vectors that transform linearly when changing frame of reference.
Translations and rotations cannot be done this way, but are related to a twist by exponentiation.

We get twisted - very often :alien:
It all relates to the velocity - the cross-sectional area of the glass, you see - and angle of input.
Torque is most important - how you apply it - we have a few wrenches - metric, of course.
And rotation - we leave that to your imagination.
Although we try not to get screwed (by others of course)

(we will assume Rune applies similar logic) :?:
But, can you "translate" this otravers?
If so, you can join us in this 6th dimension :P

Ah, Qingdao, Qingdao!.. This poster just cannot be silent about for how much more $$ certain Chinese immigrants are selling it.. in certain chinatowns.. Kuala Lumpur Chinatown.. I think, it was 12.. or was it even 16 ringgit?.. { 1 Malaysian ringgit = 0.317108 U.S. dollars } But -- it was Qingdao.. But -- it was so expensive.. But, it was Qingdao, and no less than that!..
