Been away being the adminator, moving sucks! So you had no quarantine for your birds??? I wish I was so lucky! I'm going to put this here in case anyone else wants info on taking pet birds (especially parrots) to Chile -
my birds have to have a CITES permit (takes 8 weeks to get), a vet health certificate, stamped by the official sate vet, they have to have all sorts of blood tests done and parasitic treatments while in quarantine here for 30 days before I take them with me, a final vet check up 10 days before leaving, and then they have to go to quarantine with the SAG n Chile

for 30 days upon arrival.....man! Not to mention the cost. These are clean healthy pets, not wild animals! But what are you going to do? Either all that or leave them behind =( pet transportation really needs to get re-worked for pets...
Wish me luck!
