I'm not sure of the exact percentages but once when I booked an apartment via AirBNB I had to pay a booking fee of about 60 USD, if I remember correctly (it's a percentage of the total price of your stay). Also, if I accept a booking through AirBNB I as the owner of the property have to pay a fee of about 15 USD I think. The website doesn't make this at all clear until you finally make a booking. I prefer TripAdvisor/FlipKey because there is no hidden booking fee, on either side.
