Chilean who needs to improve his english

Postby elefian » Mon Jun 28, 2010 8:25 pm

Hi,
I'm new in this forum and I need to improve my english. I'm a 36 year old man and I have to understand english for a training course in my new job.
I have two weeks for practice.
If somebody can help me I can help too. My spanish is very clear, so we can teach each other.

Regards.

Hi elefian,

I'm a English teacher in Santiago, I teach mainly business English and would be happy to help. If you send me a private message with your contact details and times that you want the lessons. I could either teach you myself depending on when you want classes or find you teacher who can be available at the times you want.

Ah in that case I can't help you, I can't afford to work for free but I will ask around and see if any teachers I know are interested. Perhaps zer0nz idea is better.

The British Chamber of Commerce has a weekly "Conversation Club" that might work for you:

Conversation Club takes place every Wednesday from 13.30 until 14.30 in our meeting room and is absolutely free of charge.

The club is a great opportunity for intermediate – advanced level speakers to practice speaking English in a friendly environment, during lunchtime. Every session is led by a teacher from the Instituto Chileno Británico de Cultura or The English Connection; both institutes are members of the Chamber.

Hope that helps...
