Re: Sausage making Equipment

When I first got my kitchen aid I got the grinder cause it was on sale. Not bad for small batches. few pounds. Then I got a Waring which is a dedicated model. Better but same deal..... Screw/auger pushing the meat through. Now I but meat ground to order at the butcher's and use a cylinder/piston sausage stuffer. It works awesome and no air pockets. Plus they are a lot faster and better for big batches.

In Chile I would imagine the best bet is to find the KA attachment if you have a KA already. I myself always go to eBay first.

Embutidoras are available as they are used for churros as well. Here is a horizontal one like mine except mine is Italian and built like a tank.

If you choose to look for a unit in Chile ask for a moledora de carne.... Embutidora is the stuffing machine. Best of luck! :)

Any good quality hand operated mincer with a suasage filler will let you make sausages. It's just a bit of a grind!
