UK general election

Maybe only 2 more days of Brown :D ... but it's still looking like a hung parliament, so who knows what will really happen, other than British taxpayers having a very large bill to pay afterwards (could be good for Chile as even more Britons turn to cheap wine for solace).

James.

PS. I fully expect the same outcome as Rune's poll, but you can vote for a politician as well if you are so inclined.

Actually I am hoping to see some serious gains by the BNP. If the mainstream parties are ignoring you, send them a message, ignore the spoiler  .

Yeah, Brown, Clegg & Cameron are so similar as to make Democrats & Republicans seem like stark, polar opposites. Doesn't matter which of the three wins, it's more socialism and political correctness for the UK, with continued mass corruption in Parliament with an eventual Greek ending. Sad to see such a great country brought so low.

JHyre,

When you refer to the similarity of Brown, Clegg, and Cameron, do you mean their personalities or party policy platforms? :? Have you read their party manifestos? There are fundamental policy differences between the three parties. Whereas, there is almost no substantive policy differences (just matters of degree) between the Democrats and Republicans, exempt at the margins of their respective party representatives in Congress. Mort Sahl's satirical quip is as accurate today (as when he said it in the early 60's) that the major difference between the Democrats and Republicans is in the spelling.

As to their personalities, as they say where I grew up, they're as different as chalk and cheese. :P

Platform? What does that mean once they are in power? :?
In the UK, politicking has been run by special interest donors for as long as anyone can remember, foreign policy, domestic, whatever.
Check this Channel 4 documentary out then ask if here in the US there exists a TV channel prepared to name names to the same degree. Yes, we'll see change under Cameron.... change of curtains at # 10, that's about it. Move on, nothing to see here.
