Re: Acssess to Lan.cl from abroad for Chilean Prices

Might it be possible to avoid the abroad-unfriendly LAN site and book through an online ticket seller in Chile such as http://www.andinadelsud.com/ ? We might try doing some comparisons with folks inside and outside Chile, for some fixed date/time/origen/destination/airline set.

Even though falabella charges 2 lucas or so for buying tickets on their site, I believe they don't check for IP address origins and I believe you can access this site from outside Chile.... Auslanders please to check: http://www.viajesfalabella.cl/cs/

Sky Airlines doesn't seem to be messing with IP origin checking... I think

May be worth some experimenting.

For Chile - NZ - Aus Flights... even from chile... i have found it cheaper to book through qantas... or through http://www.bestflights.com.au than using lan directly.... i always check all 3 before i make the purchase..... (I do have NZ, and AUS credit cards so i dont get any international fees)

Only problem with 3rd party bookings is making flights changes can be a nightmare... before it departs you need to do it through the agent, after it departs you need to do it through the airline, and most of the time neither are online... its got to be done over the phone or even in writting via email ( i have often said im in the middle of no where in south america, just change the ticket i cant get to email for 3 days while sitting in my apartment in Santiago calling from skype)
Plan N....... Back On track
