I've heard there's a free software download called Hotspot Shield: hotspotshield.com or anchorfree.com

Reviewed by PC Magazine and others...looks pretty doable.

Netflix streaming coming to Chile.
As I am in Mexico now, and was told by Netflix that my subscription would work here in September, I find it annoying that Mexico won't get streaming till December, but at least when I get to Chile it should be up and running; um, streaming.

Why wait? Purchase a VPN from http://www.strongvpn.com/ and access you Netflix subscription from anywhere. I've been doin' it in Chile for months with no problems.

Download anything you want with Graboid. I used it for several years in Guatemala.

@swdchile: no speed issues with your VPN? We have one on one of our laptops and it tends to be very slow w/certain applications.

I have used vypr vpn it has two points int he USA, i think la and washington, hulu worked best from washington, you need to play around with settings depending on what you want to use, its also going to depend more on your ISP in chile than your vpn service......

but as i said ont he last post netflix isnoup and running!

that serivces is 1. illegal streaming pirated movies, and 2. makes you install a plugin, that pluging could be doing anything on your computer...... also in the USA or other countries if you use that you are subject to laws there that could see you prosecuted...... you have heard the story of the person who downloaded 3 songs and now needs to pay $us 3m ....

watching from chile is safe because of there outdated laws and slowness to act..... but still illegal

Not true about $50/month. Since I came to Chile I've been using VyprVPN which the low-end one works for $15/month. The service is fabulous and I use it on my iPad/iPhone/computers and can connect to things like HBO Go/Hulu/Netflix/Pandora .... https://www.goldenfrog.com/vyprvpn/vpn-service-provider

Has anyone else used other VPN services than the two mentioned so far (GoldenFrog and StrongVPN)?
