Registering a business

ive searched in the forum but cant find an exact answer to this...
I have a contract visa from another company but would like to register my own company in chile....is the permitted while im on a visa or do i have to hold perm res

you can start and own a company in Chile as a foreigner without even ever visiting Chile. The bigger issue is the work visa. You will still need one. You can own a company, you just can not work for it without a work visa.

Yeah you can probably have your accountant draft up an employment contract and then you just sign it. We did something similar but on professional visas.
