On a whim, since I have a jar of 100% organic extra virgin coconut oil, I bought the Saba brand of kernels. Made one porcion (3 tablespoons) and all but one kernel popped. Topped it with ground Chilean sea salt and melted non-pasteurized butter from the south ... very tasty snack.

The package says the corn is from Argentina so my DNA is probably being modified as I type this. :alien:

This is to wish those who made popcorn recently to enjoy it.

every bird its nest.
And God knows best."

Can't he just sneak a tub melted butter into the theatre with him and dump it on the salted stuff?

That's the problem, it's not salted, it's sweet. Yuk

coconut oi is avail (sometimes) at Organisk. I'm beginning to feel like we sponsor that place. And there is salty popcorn in Santiago, but sometimes in regiones, not. I like sweet just fine, but it's not what I was expecting the first time I crunched down, and it was a sad, sad moment. But not buttered salted, which is different, I understand.

I asked for salted popcorn about a week ago at the cinema as all the had was sweet and they told me to come back in about in hour and it would be ready. Of course my movie would be over by that time. I usually make popcorn at my house using cabritas I have bought from the frutos secos fella and top it with olive oil from Til Til. I have also tried the microwave stuff but I like to make it on the stove top as well since my microwave seems to have a mind of its own.
