Specific question on legalization:

I plan to come to Chile in fall of 2010. Tourist visa, find rental outside of Pucon for 6 month agreement, check out work possibilities (part time, living on small retirement), then apply for temporary residential visa.

I lived in Chile from 2002 to 2007 with certificado de permanencia definitiva. I still have document and a valid RUN. Also I have Chilean tax stubs for 3 years. I was born in USA and am a citizen of Canada.

Since the office I will be dealing with is in your backyard of Tamuco and since the legalization issue strains my brain, I am hoping you will say, "No te preocupes, se feliz con las termas y los lagos."
