New guy here,, my girlfriend of 4 years lives in Vina Del Mar,, i have decided to move there to be with her,, the plan is to marrie and after she finishes university either stay in Chile,, or move back to US,, i am here in this forum because i do not know even how to begin this journey,, and what i need to do ,, looking for tips and pointers,, i am trying to find an easy way to get to her. Anyway,, ty all for providing this forum,, i will read all posts and hopefully this will help me.

I'd go there on a tourist visa and check Vina out first before doing anything. their are multiple ways to get a visa, but you'd need to talk with Charles about that to get specifics on what works in your situation. you can go on a tourist visa for 3 months and then get it reissued for another 3 months. Where would you work? do you have money to support yourself? These are questions you need to know before you go down and again would be another reason to go down on a tourist visa to figure that one out. It's not exactly like moving from one state in the US to another where you move there, open a bank account (good luck), and go looking for a job...and yes, please read the forum. The answers to almost all you questions are there once you learn how to search using the appropriate seach criteria. Nearly all new members will make the mistake of asking a question which has been covered here 100xs and then either no one replies, you get a quick...please check the topics... or someone will make fun of you in a teasing way.

The OP needs to decide beforehand, move to Chile FOR SURE OR NOT because as the other threads on Chilean marriage and immigration of a Chilean into the USA reveal, that aspect will decide everything else.
