yea, we are going to be taking photos as we go so we can one let everyone here follow along with what is going on (your all part of the team too), and help get the word out. It is also so we can do better damage assessment of the areas, such as for example forwarding photos of the damaged fire departments to fire departments in the States that want to help. Firefighters will know what firefighters need, if we can get them the information. There will be others situations where they will be useful, such as when it comes time to start thinking about replacing houses (we hope to jump on that project too soon) .

Updates:

We got hanger space this morning confirmed at Temuco airport from the flying club of Temuco for us to operate out of.

We also are waiting for the Mayor university. They are going to be helping us coordinate the logistics inside Temuco along with the collectivo drivers (kind of ride share/bus/taxi system used in Chile) drivers to get supplies to the airport as they have some trucks available and student volanteers as we understand. The university also has a medical school and a hospital. We are trying to get coordination with them setup for supplies and support here in Temuco, and possibly prepared for encountering situations of needing to evacuate people that need advanced medical attention of a full hospital. The flights back will likly be empty otherwise, so we can make the most of the time in the air.

We just had a phone conversation with the university. They have a whole bunch of doctors and no way to deploy them. They were planning to take a boat to Isla Mocha off the coast because they could not find an airplane.

That single phone call just eliminated any doubts from my mind about if this is really needed.

Well done and thumbs up to the government for the licences. Now with all those doctors you will need someone with a computer to make your flight plans...

Got it. Our pilot has a computerized flight plan software he uses, and our office in Temuco functional.

I've been wrestling with my internet connection all day, but I think it's finally cooperating long enough for me to get through the donation process on paypal. It kept timing out on me... anyone else have that problem? I have a feeling it was just my connection.

Also, Charles, I used to work at Johns Hopkins Hospital, I can go to them for money and or med supplies that they used to send to Africa, etc, basically stuff that was unused but open packaging, etc.

If you can send me some type of nice official header in regards to who, what, when, where, why I can send it over to the purchasing dept and OR and see what I can gather together.

Also, my brother in law is a doc at Univ of Md Med Ctr and he can do the same for me for goods and donations.

Let me know. I am a bit hung up at work so if anyone can return me the assistance in giving me some nice looking request docs it would speed things up for me.
