Yea, does not help that the frigen U.S. embassy is sending warnings telling people not to travel to most of Chile, including Temuco. There is nothing wrong with Temuco. Flights are working, hotels are fine, damage was limited to some old buildings in the middle of the city. Yea, I would not recommend planning a vacation to somewhere like Concepción right now, but Concepción and most of the 8th region was not really a super international tourism destination to start.
