We just got 1,000,000 Chilean pesos donation (about $2,000 US) from one of our members in Chile to our bank account.

I am speechless at the support, speed, and size of the donations. We will put every bit to work.

We just got two provisional licenses to practice medicine in Chile for our doctors from the government.

Our pilot is going to pick them up where they live in Futaluefu in the Patagonia tomorrow morning. They are then going to fly to Puerto Montt where the plane needs to refuel, and at the same time the doctors have to pick up their license in person. Someone at the government health ministry is going to meet them on Saturday, even though the office is not open to formally serve them in person with the licenses. They will then be on their way North to Temuco.

We are crossing our fingers that we might even get some recon flights going tomorrow afternoon as it is summer and we have light to about 8:30 pm, or the limit of when it is legal to fly.

I just found your site. Thanks for your effort. I've had a great love of Chile since my father spent a month fishing the Lakes District in 1986. I've spent many wonderfull days fishing between Coyhaique and Puyehue. I wish I could do more.

It looks like currently:

We have about 1,100,000 pesos in Chile through deposits at our bank account.
We have about $2,230 US through pay pal.

Our pilot says please keep it going, as we are planning to make the most of every single hour we can in the air.

We also are still going to need medical supplies and other things as soon as our doctors come back in to Cell phone contact and we can get the wish list from them of what is needed on that front.
