the following i have flagged as somewhat concerning:

tasp07MN one year ago said he was moving to concepcion for study "in the fall", i assume the US fall, meaning september last year?? PM sent

eahlay PM sent, no response, posted a year ago to say was moving to valpo, has not been heard from since

chile-expat status unknown, PM sent, relatively regular user, last logged on in January, believed to be in Vina/Valpo area

swpsox believed to live in santiago - last visit to forum in July. PM sent

All others on my list I will continue to update on as they respond, if they respond, but as best I can tell, the above 4 are the only ones likely to be in an affected area and not made contact.

Checking in here for myself (storklady53) and my hubby (NOPAT). We are OK but have not had services (water for the 1st 3 days) and electricity until tonight. So couldn't call/write anyone as our cells and laptops were dead. It was pretty incredible for sure but we had only broken dishes, pictures and one crack in our liv. room wall...so we were blessed considering.

Returned from Region X to US on Feb 15, safe and sound but my heart aches for Chile.

Yeah I don't think he has power or internet yet, but MikieO checked on him and he's fine.

Yeah I've been absent from the forum for a long time - lame I know - but WOW! After scanning over all of these threads I want to give a hats off to everyone for their concern, care and thoughtfulness!!! Truly amazing!!! I am proud to be part of such a caring group of people and anything that we can do from the north will be gladly done - let me know if I can help in ANY way!

I've updated my post. The point is to get as many people to log into the forum so that they have a fresh last activity date, thus making it easy to filter them out from the missing list. I have some ideas on how the forum could be tweaked to me more effective for this purpose, but will keep them to myself for now given the admin's already full plate.
