Found it, but on closer look there is no phone number. I simply did not have time before the disaster to get back to him about running the free advertising on allsouthernchile.com or I would have asked for the posting.
From his email describing the rental:
About the house: 4 bedrooms, 1.5 bath, balcony off of the two bedrooms on the second floor with a great view of Coliumo Bay. The house has a full kitchen, a barbecue pit (quincho) and a wood burning oven (horno de barro). Of course, it has a regular oven in the kitchen, too. Cable TV, wifi, fireplace, beds for 8 people (two queen size beds and two sets of bunk beds). See attached pics.
The house is located between Dichato and Pingueral, about 1 km from the center of Dichato on the road that rises up to the entrance to Pingueral. (Pingueral is an exclusive community...lots of money....and they employ some tactice to keep people away...like a sign that says "private driveway" and a little guard house where they ask you what you want. in fact, the beach is public and they cannot legally stop anyone from visiting, but a little intimidation goes a long way and many people simply turn around and go back to Dichato.)
This should be outside the disaster zone. I just hope he was not in town helping when the tsunami hit.
Does anyone know him, or has anyone heard from anyone in that area?
