My husband and I are okay. We were at home in La Reina when it hit. There was just a lot of broken glass/dishes, appliances falling to the floor and there is some damage to one of the walls around the house. Our water was cut off yesterday, but is back on now and the gas is fine. We still have no power at the house, so we have been pretty cut off from the world. Supposedly it will be back on today, but we heard the same thing yesterday and nothing happened.

Good to hear of more members safe.

Kristina S from Finland is in Concepción and is confirmed to be OK.

checking in ..after a top floor sway.all good in viña .Got caught up too in the false tsumani alert on sunday but the bomberos did a great job in calming everyone down.i know of 2 highrises in poniente in viña that look like total write offs and will probably have to be demolished.Havent walked around other areas yet.My landlady said today her building on the front line near the casino has very bad structural damage.Tourists on the beach that night reported that the sand felt like it was suckng them under.How are the buildings in concon i wonder ? best wishes to all

Yes, shame on me and I feel stupid. Thanks for catching this, I fixed the post.

It's great to see people checking in, spread the word to other members you might know.

Just searched dates/locations of page 4 memberlist.php?sk=l&sd=d&mode=&start=150 so nobody else has to cull through it. Sent a lot o PM's to those who've not checked in and may be affected.
