California South wrote:@rocksana, I lived in SoCal before the move here to Stgo a few months ago. People have been talking (and posting on youtube) about similar large movements of equipment, many in California, but also other parts of the country. The videos are unnerving.
On January 31, 2012, the Department of Homeland Security’s Behavioral Science Division pointed to the following as indicators of potential terrorism
(please note – as you review the list – that some indicators are conservative, some are liberal and some are bipartisan)
“Reverent of individual liberty”
“Anti-nuclear”
“Believe in conspiracy theories”
“A belief that one’s personal and/or national “way of life” is under attack”
“Impose strict religious tenets or laws on society (fundamentalists)”
“Insert religion into the political sphere”
“Those who seek to politicize religion”
“Supported political movements for autonomy”
“Anti-abortion”
“Anti-Catholic”
“Anti-global”
“Suspicious of centralized federal authority”
“Fiercely nationalistic (as opposed to universal and international in orientation)”
“A belief in the need to be prepared for an attack either by participating in … survivalism”
Given that most Americans fall into one or more of these categories, the powers-that-be can brand virtually anyone they dislike as being a terrorist.
...the following is considered terrorism or suspected terrorism in modern America:
Protesting anything
Questioning war
Criticizing the government’s targeting of innocent civilians with drones
Asking questions about pollution
Liking online privacy
Paying cash at an Internet cafe
Asking questions about Wall Street shenanigans
Supporting Ron Paul or being a libertarian
Being anti-tax, anti-regulation or for the gold standard
Holding gold
Creating alternative currencies
Stocking up on more than 7 days of food
Investigating factory farming
In 2012, the following activities are considered to be "suspicious" by the FBI....
-shielding your computer screen from others
-paying with cash
-acting "nervous"
-using multiple cell phones
-requesting a specific room at a hotel
-traveling with a large amount of luggage
-refusing maid service at a hotel
-staying in your room for too long
-changing your appearance
