01 March 2010, EZE in-transit AR flights to SCL to end

Postby eeuunikkeiexpat » Sun Feb 07, 2010 2:09 pm

Advisory for US, Canadians and Australians

Beginning March 1st, AR (the POS airline known as Aerolineas Argentina) will begin transferring previous EZE-SCL in-transit connecting flights to AEP. This means you have to enter Argentina for Passport Control and Customs purposes and pay the reciprocity fee if applicable.

Does this in any way affect those of us who might want to skip the 7 hour bus ride and fly into Mendoza? I was under the impression their lousy new fee was only in effect at the AEP Airport?

At this rate, Peru is starting to look good...

I wonder if they are taking advantage of the bombing of the Lan office in Argentina to call it a "security" measure and charge all the tourist and travelers on their way to and from Chile.
