Does anyone know what cinemas in Santiago are showing Avatar in 3D? Preferable a cheaper-ish cinema?

Can't answer your question, but I strongly recommend that you see it in 3D. I saw it last weekend at a digital imax in 3D and the visuals are incredable! I had never experienced anything like it. You'll soon forget the plot as it combines themes we've all seen before in other movies/books, but I've never felt so "present" in a movie world before. It wasn't cheap either; $15 bucks a person!

I know that complex in Centro on San Antonio has it in 3D as my pareja's daughter has seen the movie 3 times already.

I've seen the 2D twice and I'm gonna kick myself if I don't see it 3D.

hoyts in la reina has it in 3D in either english or spanish. cinehoyts.cl the hoyts in la reina is your best bet for movies in english that might otherwise only come in spanish (ie kids movies) and also for having more 3D showings than other cinemas. enjoy!

I also saw Avatar in a IMAX theatre in 3D. My reaction was similar to Michel's. If at all possible, see it at a IMAX theatre in 3D to maximize the experience.

I am about to watch it in 2D on our projector, but I think I will try it again this weekend with some home made 3D glasses. There is a whole mess of new 3D movies coming out, so they should be useful.

Charles , that is great for the super bowl commercials, but for gods sake get thee to a movie theater and see Avatar in 3D, the last movie that had this kind of impact was the original Star Wars about 32 years ago. This is a fantastic feat of filmography and you will regret not having experienced it on the big screen.
