I am in Santiago. We moved here from US in January and rented a small house in Curacavi. We were told there was high-speed internet, but have not had any luck. So, we are moving closer to Santiago to ensure we have internet. Problem is, the house we are renting is totally unfurnished. Does anyone know where there might be a used furniture and/or appliance store or "scratch and dent", maybe? Money is short considering the move here and this 2nd move. I searched Craigslist. There is not much there. Gracias.

Generally you will want to buy your local want advertising paper. I have never seen a centralized place to sell used stuff.

Do you have a local TV channel that broadcasts ads daily? We do in this area.
Ads at the supermarket public posting area.
ElRastro.cl seems to have a lot of used stuff.

If you move close to Santiago, there is a shop that sells second hand furniture at the crossing of Bocaccio and Chesterton in Las Condes and there must be more of those shops in the city.
Because we soon move to an appartment we also have some things to sell (no more garden and an fully equiped kitchen).
a gasstove with an electric grill, a refridgerator "no frost" with freezer, an electric mower and strimmer "black and decker" (all one year old) two teak wooden sunbeds with matrasses and some other small stuff. When you are interested you can send us an e-mail.
