Hazelnuts are High in Proanthocyanidins (PACs)
PACs are a subset of polyphenols that are recognized for giving foods (nuts, red
wine, dark chocolate) an astringent mouth feel. Studies show that the antioxidant
capabilities of PACs are 20 times more powerful than vitamin C and 50 times more
potent than vitamin E. The antioxidant and other actions of PACs may help strengthen
blood vessels, suppress platelet stickiness in arteries, reduce the risk of cardiovascular
disease, lower blood pressure, and delay the onset of dementia.

Yes, rune... eat... eat... more :D
Girls would put hazelnuts close to the fire and while thinking about the boy she liked would chant,
"If you love me pop and fly: if you hate me burn and die".

But be careful...
Do not share with girlz

I am so sorry to say that I do not have (and have never had) enough knowledge of Buddhism, and could not express clearly what I was going to say.. :)

Regarding the "Homeless and Seeking" state however, it is related that even though there is nothing to be found at all, yet, our mind has a radiance, and a luminous clarity which radiates from it. And this is Sambhogakaya.

It is further related that, as a matter of fact, every activity that takes place in our lives, and everything we perceive around us is Nirmanakaya.

Though, in essence, all is but Dharmakaya.

Also, with respect to the "Homeless and Seeking" travelers, a story is related of Saint Ungo Doyo, the Thirty Ninth Ancestor.

Upon his running into Tozan, while walking upon a mountain:

‘Was that mountain fit to live on?’ Tozan asked Ungo.

Ungo replied, ‘What mountain is not fit to live on?’

Tozan went on to say, ‘Well, then, you must have found the right roadway.’

To which Ungo replied, ‘There is no roadway.’

Source: The Denkoroku: The Record of the Transmission of Light.
Ungo Doyo’s name meant ‘Sustainer of the Way’.

And to all "Homeless and Seeking" on this planet, regardless of their coming and going, leaving or returning:

Best of luck! :)

End of spectacle.

Biked from P. Montt to Esquel last Oct. - been living here for 3 months. Recently visited Futa and met Vicki~Greg and Paul~Konomi.
Planning on biking back into Chile in Mar. - over to Chaiten, thru Chiloe and up... exploring where we want to establish a "home" and gain residency.
We are developing a "short-list" of places to visit thru regions X-XIV-IX-VIII-VII-VI... smaller population centers (+/- 10k-20k) on the coast, or inland...
If anyone has a favorite place to suggest we tour thru, please do.

Did you make it to Arica or do you plan to?

And another some, who are "homeless and seeking", are seeking comfort and stability, and the illusory "home".

But sooner or later, one should realize that there is neither comfort nor stability in this life.

There's no "home".

Still, right at this moment: "facing everything, let go and attain stability".

Are these brilliant words of the old Buddha, Ch'an Master Hongzhi, pointing to the entrance?.. To where there is no entrance.

While some people, who are "homeless and seeking", are seeking the mysterious "Knowledge", and think that this is the right Way, here is what was once said by Zen Master Bassui:

..... you should realize that awakening to the Way depends only on one’s aspiration and not on whether or not one is educated. When the aspiring heart is shallow, lack of knowledge becomes an obstacle to the ignorant, and knowledge becomes an obstacle to the educated. When the aspiring heart is deep, knowledge becomes the basis for understanding the Way for the learned, and lack of knowledge becomes the basis for understanding the Way for the uneducated. The Way is not a matter of knowing or not knowing. Just abandon everything. return to yourself, and look within. Who is this? Spare no time. It waits for no one .....
