Interesting. Totally tranquilo aca. No honking horns or other flaite-like behavior.

I get the sense that everyone is relieved that it's over and that there may be some kind of change from the past 20 years. Life goes on. I'm sure all the long range public transport to the coast and parts south and north will be full tomorrow.

Frei just spoke at Piñera's party. On the heels of the live televised call from Bachelet to Piñera and his wife, I'd say the transition from 20 years of Concertation-Left to the Center Right-Right is going smoothly. A democracy that the rest of Latin America can only wish for in their sweetest dreams.

Most of the big USD markets and related markets are closed today for MLK holiday but the peso has actually gone a little bit in the opposite direction (weakened from 488ish to 492ish.
