Rune, why is the grass greener? Because of the RAIN, as you know perfectly well. Southern Chile is made of rain (and mud). It rains continually for at least 9 months of the year. It will stop, mid December, when the school holidays begin and the Santiaguinos head south to you. From that point, for the following three months, it rains only intermittently, that is to say, not continuously. I have it on good authority that summer was on a Tuesday this year on Lago Ranco. Don't be envious... I missed it as well

All wrong, Frank!.. All wrong!..

The grass is greener because someone has painted it green, didn't you know that?.. :)

Though they honestly tried to paint it "perfectly well", yet, sometimes you can see how this paint would easily change its color -- to golden, to white, to gray, or to red.. :)

Southern Chile is made of Sun, can't you see that?.. Well, its obscured by clouds a bit, but what then?.. Of Sun Southern Chile is made, and not of RAIN!..

g~j couldn't resist sharing this...
This canine crossed our path today...
This is NOT a street dog... this is someone's pet
Now g~j have seen MANY ratty, filthy, unkempt dogs along life's path...
But this guy... will be hard to beat.

when we think of them

our hearts miss a beat

sweet little puppies,
mature dogs -- they come and go
seek that which does not

seek it, spare no time
seek it, so I challenge you
seek it, what is this?.....

I love all animals, except humans at times, but I do prefer the fluffy and cozy ones. I have two wonderful cats at the moment, but have had everything from fish to bunnies to dogs. This is a picture of my youngest one. He just turned one year old and is the son of the cat that's on my profile. : D

I've never had a rescue animal, but I'm planing on taking in more animals as soon as I know for sure that I can take care of them...

Anyway, his name is Santino, aka Sonny. The mothers name is Siri.

g~j must contribute again.

here is our newest pet...
we call her melissa
she's a bit shy, but very cute

she is still young, but has a great appetite
she really loves to eat
soon she will be much bigger

then she must find a mate, a nice juicy male mantis...
they will have some hot mantis sex...
and then she will bite off his head

Patagoniax: Cute :) I didn't know you could have those as pets, but still, cute.

g~j: Although I'm personally not a big fan of insects and spiders (snakes, lizards and turtles are cute, though) I'm smitten by your love for them. I must admit they are beautiful creatures and also very fascinating, but for some odd reason they make me uncomfortable... Anyway, I love your camera. :D

Call_chile48: I loooove cats and those look so cute and cozy! Beautiful. You're a great person for giving them a home.
