Gail, I've posted a reply to your questions in another thread. In essence, I'm interested in having good dental care in Chile, especially if pricing be competitive with that for Chilean-trained dentists' services. Lack of fluency in Spanish wouldn't bother me, of course, as my native tongue is English.

To attach a signature, click on the User Control Panel, which is under Board index < All Chile <New Users Start Here:FORUM NEWS, in this case it is. Then click on your profile tab, and then edit signature.

another question for the forum - how do i post an avatar? i found the page where to do it but i cant get it to work. in what form do i post a url?

Your avatar can only be a certain size. If it is too large, then you won't be able to upload it. Something around 100px x 100px should work. Mine is 90px x 70px. Check out others, by looking at the properties (right click on the avatar and choose properties).

First i'm posting to make sure i don't get counted as Spam. I look forward to reading all the information in the forums. Hopefully some insights on Business. How is the food industry (ie. restraunts, coffee shops etc.) in general? Did i read recently that there is 9.5% unemployment in Chile? no use looking for a job if its that bad...best to create more jobs.

Welcome Croaker! you got the right idea, it's best and more rewarding to create jobs!
Please take your time reading all the posts, eventually you'll find the answers to all your questions, there are tons of information here it's a matter of sorting it all out.

Had to laugh at the lack of difference in the Chile flag from the Texas state flag. (insert texan or chlean joke here)

Each was deliberately derived from the American "Stars and Stripes", "Croaker". It's no wonder that they're similar.

Hi, just following instructions and posting to avoid being a spammer

I am currently living in Central US, looking at possibly retiring in a few years and Chile is very high on the list of possibilities. I am here to learn and get a feel for the reality. I am bilingual so language is not a problem for me, although undoubtedly it will take a while to get up to speed since I haven't used Spanish regularly for many years.

This has already been a great reference, and I have bookmarked several other sites found here.
