eeuu, I don't remember if anyone asked about Banco Security, but I went to the one in Temuco yesterday and the machine didn't ask for the usual $2500 peso fee. That was the first time I had used the atm there. Maybe not the last. :)

About a month or so ago, I think I tried a BCI atm and the charge was going to be 3500 pesos. It was at a pharmacy I don't remember which one, but it wasn't Cruz Verde.

Banco Estado CIRRUS ONLY still no fee reported...
:D
An interesting CIRRUS situation g~j have just discovered...
We usually withdraw 250k pesos when we need "discretionary" funds...
No fee, as witnessed, from Banco Estado... :)
But on checking our BMO accounts back in CanukLand - we see this
A previous transaction = 250000 X.0019853 = $495.34 (CDN, of course)
Our last transaction = 250000 X.0020495 = $511.35 (again, CDN)
But look what the bankstas did this time...
EXCESS CIRRUS - INTL = $5.00 - we went over their $500 limit :(
Now g~j hate paying fees and interests to bankstas... ANY time.
We like bankstas to pay g~j their paltry interest... not vice~versa.
So now, we must keep a better eye on the exchange rates (CDN~CHP)
Maybe next time only 240k???
Because $5, after all, is $5...
2,500 pesos is much better in g~j's pockets
(spent for another bottle of Chilean wine, of course...)
Than into the clutching coffers of some rich banksta~types in CanukLand.
So, now we are wiser, we can drink more wine - all is well

Hope another Cirrus card holder can experiment. I dollar cost average my Cirrus card transactions to get my 4 auto reimbursements from my bank for the non-existent  Banco Estado fee which frequently give me a minus percent exchange fee :)

I can confirm that, as of yet no charges. But I wouldn't expect that to continue. Why wouldn't they, if nothing will stop them? I'm expecting that damned message to pop up at any moment.

Speaking of which, how about that current CLP / USD exchange rate

But of course eeuu, the CLP/CDN also...
Remember that interesting CIRRUS situation g~j discovered last month...
EXCESS CIRRUS - INTL = $5.00 - when you go over their $500 limit :(

We usually like to withdraw 250k pesos when we need "discretionary" funds...
In July = 250000 X.0019853 = $495.34 (CDN, of course)
Again in July = 250000 X.0020495 = $511.35 (again, CDN) +$5 fee
Now, to keep under the $500 CDN limit... to save us $5 fee... we get only 240k pesos
In August = 240000 X.0020858 = $499.61 (again, CDN)

Look... this is 10 mil pesos LESS in our pockets every time we go to the ATM.
Say we do this twice a month...
So, this is 20 mil pesos a month we are now "missing" from our pockets.
You understand that this translates to approximately 20 litros of Exportacion
Now this is what we are missing every month. :(
Where is this CLP going... only UP?
While our whining goes correspondingly only DOWN?
Where will this lead... :?
How much can g~j reduce their whining
