GOTI,

I will be the first to admit I have zero experience with AAC products. I am sure they have their applications were they are best option. And am basing my argument on the information I have found on the internet.

I should have been more specifying when I said "stud wall" I was referring to the entire wall system in wood frame construction. And in comparing R-values of entire wall systems you are not comparing apples to oranges as you claim. Although there are other factors at work the R-values is what gives most people a way to compare different systems used in construction.

If you look back my original post as to do with your claim that the r-values fluctuate. I am simply stating that this is impossible and the value stated taking other factors into consideration. Upon further searching I found, http://globalmodularconcepts.com/thermal%20performance.htm, where they directly compare the R-values of a couple different materials (something you say can't be done). And also take Dynamic Benefit for Massive Systems in to consideration to produce an Effective R-value number, which will get the results you posted earlier.
