AK,
When are you leaving for the US? I am flying out of Santiago on May 8 to Dallas (AA) and am wondering if you will be on the same flight? (Mother's day is May 10).

Unfortunately not in time for Mother's Day, duty calls and we've got gringos visiting that week so I have meetings. I leave on the 14th and return June 1st - maybe I'll catch you on the return...if not I'm sure there will be another forum get together when we may have the opportunity to meet.

Volunteering in Valparaíso

I’ve just read your posts about teaching English in August / September. If you’re still looking for volunteer work, in Valparaíso there’s a home for pregnant teenage girls where they need help with their high school English. They stay at the home together with their babies for a couple of years because they can’t stay with their families, or else they don’t have families. Their English is very basic.
Plenty of people commute from Santiago to Valparaíso.
PM me if you’re interested.
