Local Tour Guides

Postby renocouple on Mon Dec 04, 2006 9:01 pm

We are looking for guides that will charge us local prices instead of heavily inflated tourist prices. We have visited Santiago before, and we will be there for 5 nights before heading to Mendoza and points East. If anyone has any suggestions, we'd appreciate them. We will have access to a car for 2 of the days. We would be interested in Maipo, the coast, etc. If you know of a "hidden hot-spot" that would be interesting too. We do speak reasonable spanish, but it would be good if the guide was bi-lingual.

Thanks all,

Paul

There are a lot of tourism agencies in the central region that can put you together with a guide. We might also see if anyone on this forum from the central region might have some ideas.

Unfortunetly our allcentralchile.com is slated to include all this information, but is such a new site that we have not gotten to that stage yet.
