I bought Agu nappies early in 2009 before my second daughter was born and tried it out along with some other brands (Imsy Vimsy, Itty Bitty, Baby Beehinds and Bumgenius) and found it to be dead easy to use, wash and stuff, but it left red marks on my daughter´s waist and upper thigh, so it wasn´t a good fit for her. I ended up going with Bumgenius and have been very happy with it.

They have a website - www.agu.cl and also sell in some of the major supermarkets. I regularly see it at Jumbo La Dehesa in the baby section.

I only used mine once or twice, so if anyone wants a sample pair, they´re free to a good home.

It´s great to see Chilean parents becoming aware of the wonder of MCN :) I have two babies in cloth now, although they sleep in Pampers.

PS
If anyone is interested in flushable liners, I order the Imse Vimse ones from http://www.bborganico.com/ and they deliver to my house.

i am not aware of a product called "ecobebe" diapers available in chile. there are "biobaby" diapers, which claim to be biodegradable, but in truth they use the same gel as regular disposable diapers, and that is not biodegradable. they use some biodegradable products in the diapers, but they are not actually biodegradable. the only "eco" diapers we have found in chile are the reusable ones. i believe i mentioned above that the chilean brand is Agu. there is also a european brand called imse vimse that is available here.

Its great that Chileans are getting into cloth nappies. Our little girl was in terry flats until 8 months (and crawling) then bumgenius (now 17 months). We only use disposables (Mexican environ brand BioBaby) when she's sleeping or going out and then at least they're biodegradable. We still use just wet cloths instead of nappy wipes. And we've rarely had problems with nappy rash.

Sadly, most of the world uses only disposables - in Vietnam, where we lived before Chile, our terry flats were a thing of wonder, no one had ever seen them before! People think it's old fashioned but I love a fat bummed baby! I was in terry flats as a baby, so was my mum, and her mum before her. Must be a good thing.

The mama y bebe feria is on this weekend - http://feriamamaybebe.cl/ - sure they will have some cloth nappy options. It was worth going to last year.

Lani, you are so brave! I did terry flats for 5 minutes and decided it´s not for me (although I´m a huge fan of fat bums too!), but love Bumgenius too.
