Re: Chile to Stablize the dollar / peso, $3 billion U.S.

I just had to update my currency converter widget on my Mac since it wasn't working. And after I did, It was 641 pesos to the dollar. I brought it back up and it was 610.95. Xe.com has it at 611.217. I think my computer was trying to play an early april fool's joke on me. I don't think it would have ranked in the all time jokes.

Top 100 april fool's jokes...

You guys are missing that the central bank has been smart with this. They sold their pesos at 450-500, and are now selling their dollars around 600. 15%+ annualized return.

Otravers... I think this is what James was referring to earlier in the thread...

You have to be more careful... James is sensitive to comments like... "You guys are missing..."

We don't want him cranking up the old Sherman, now do we?

It's alright. We gave the Shermans back after the war. Besides, I'm keeping a low profile after having the temerity to mention Linux on the MacOS thread.

If you ever have the audacity to use a word like temerity on this forum again... you may have to walk the plank!

:splash:

(I am more courageous now that I know you no longer have a Sherman at your disposal!)

Another crazy day.

Copper up almost 5%. Dollar down a little 0.75% but still way above long term support.

CLP/USD = 586ish from I believe the 592ish area on Friday.
Just a SPAM KILLER. You are on your own in this forum. My personal mission here is done.

China is diversifying away from US treasuries into commodities. They're going to buy and stock a massive amount of copper, among other tangible things.

Like the Gambler says... you gotta know when to hold'em, know when to fold'em, know when to walk away, know when to run...

as for me... I don't have a clue. I just hope I average out okay.
