Maybe if the water gets even lower they will lower voltage even more and then I can use my George Foreman grill in Chile?? J/K :mrgreen:

Seriously... this is what I could find on the internet in regards to the governments reduction of voltage to conserve electricity... dated Feb 15 2008... here's a clip...

...Now Bachelet has ordered a voltage reduction, from 220 to 210 volts, and has extended use of daylight saving time until Mar. 29 instead of changing over on Mar. 8...

Well I did actually have it looked over, as per the top of the thread. It was the electricians that brought up the lower volt thing. I could see how normal Chilean use likly would not matter all that much. I am just super abusing wiring, and have known it for a while.

The rivers are low in the south, but not like last year. I was out fishing yesterday in some fairly big rivers (200 meters or more across) and was able to walk across most with out going above my waist even in the deepest spots. The rainy season is now returning to the south however. The hydro dams in the south are mostly in the 8th region which has less rain the the 9th. I think we are pass the driest point of the summer.
